I'm a fantasy author and freelance article writer from Oregon, USA. Although my passion is in fiction writing, my academic background is in Japanese language and culture. I have a BA in Japanese Studies and have lived in Japan three separate times in Ehime, Saitama, and Gifu, in that order. I have a huge love for Japanese popular music and write most of my hubs around Japanese music, video games, and traveling and living in Japan.

I recently moved back to the States from living in Japan for over a year. While I return to the joys of job hunting in America I'll be hanging out here at hubpages, honing my translating skills, and concentrating on publishing my first novel by the end of 2013. Should be fun!
